The series of activities for the 5th anniversary culminated into a Mega Hope Conference Kumasi Edition.
To celebrate our 6th Anniversary, Weinglo Team organized our Annual Hope Conference 2024 Kumasi Edition dubbed Building Mental Resilience.
The team led by Gloria Boatemaa Andoh CEO , Weinglo Family international Suicide Prevention Activist and our panelist Prof. Mrs. Linda Aurelia Ofori,Associate Professor, Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology, KNUST, Kenneth Owusu Ansah, Clinical psychologist,Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Madam Faustina Nuako Regional Mental Health Coordinator Ashanti Region visited St Monica’s Senior High School and St. Louis Senior High to engage the students on the above topic and also interacted with them.
It took a form of Q&A session that brought out the fear, the challenge that comes with their daily life. These were aptly attended to by our esteemed panelists.
It was such a great joy to impact the lives of our future leaders by educating them regardless of the challenges they face in life, they should never give up.
The heads and teachers of the school found this as a very important topic to be discussed since as students they might be going through some challenging and needed help.
The team Donated 10 Copies of Suicide is not an Option, When life happens authored by the Ceo and Dr. Isaac Newman -Arthur who is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Psychologist to the school’s Library for easy access for the students.
