Gloria Boatemaa Andoh, Founder and CEO of Weinglo Family International, a suicide prevention activist and charismatic leader who envisions the transformation of the marginalized section of the society through human empowerment programs to enable them attain dignified quality life.
She is a selfless humanitarian who is guided by the conviction that philanthropy is about simultaneously improving individual lives, transforming systems and in turn, achieving lasting social change.
Under Boatemaa Andoh’s leadership, the organization has been organizing suicide awareness and prevention forums in educational institutions to sensitize and build the mental strength of the students in its quest to reduce the incidence and prevalence of suicide among the youth.
In the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, her organization, WFI, carried out the mask-up project were over a 1000 kayaye(Head Porters) had the opportunity to receive nose masks for the protection of their lives.
She has gone on to achieve great success with WFI by organizing a Back to School Project where 1000 under-privileged students in the Achimota environs as well as students of Adoagyiri Presby school received exercise books.
The feeding of over a 1000 people on the streets of the two major cities in Ghana (Accra and Kumasi), and the Menstrual Hygiene Day project where female students of the Adoagyiri R/C School, numbering 250 as well as the Nsawam Female Prison inmates numbering 77 received sanitary pad each to help them manage their menstruation.
Boatemaa Andoh has been working with the Cocoa Marketing Company, for 12 years and is currently the senior health and safety officer.
Born in Akim Asuoso in the eastern part of Ghana and raised in Accra by bible believing parents from a royal family, Gloria Boatemaa Andoh earned her Business Administration Degree from the University of Professional Studies, Ghana and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Accra Business School.
She has also undergone training in suicide prevention with Hope Squard, USA-Utah
and City & Guilds UK. She's a master trainer and a QUESTION PERSUADE REFER (QPR) trainer.
She plays an important role in the Counseling and Motivation Department at EVE Ghana.
She's married with two wonderful kids.
