I was honored to visit and tour the Huntsman Mental Health Institute in Utah and the Utah State Capitol with Steve Eliason who is a member of the Utah House of representatives and also an accountant at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, and David G. Eldredge, LCSW, Senior Director of Clinical Operations at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute.
During the tour at the institute, I met with the CEO, Mark Hyman Rapaport, MD, Claudine Miller, LCSW - Manager of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams, Breanna Caruso, MHA, MPH - Senior Manager, Crisis Line and other dedicated Safe UT Team members who are working hard consistently to save lives.
At Utah State Capitol , I was privileged to visit the offices of the Governor, Senator, Chief of Staff, the Gold Room and got to see where the legislative representatives met and made decisions for the state Of Utah.
I gained a lot of invaluable insights into the mental health services provided for the State of Utah and also discussed potential opportunities to improve and support mental health initiatives in Ghana.
